Erik Lapstun has joined ARC Developments and is currently working out of Sydney and Hong Kong.
Erik has over 20 years experience in the financing of energy and infrastructure development including significant experience in emerging markets.
The early part of Erik’s career was spent as a corporate banker with ANZ and BTMU based in Sydney. In 1995 he joined Societe Generale’s project finance group as a director and subsequently led that group until the bank’s Australian withdrawal in 2009. During this period he worked extensively as advisor and financier across the LNG, IPP and PPP sectors leading numerous high profile transactions in Australia and Asia.
In 2010 he was recruited by Credit Agricole in Sydney to develop an inaugural infrastructure advisory business. He transferred to Hong Kong in 2011 as part of the expansion of that business to Asia and led the bank’s regional energy and infrastructure financing team until the end of 2014. He joined ARC Developments in 2015.
Erik’s areas of expertise include commercial and financial structuring, bid and debt advisory, financial analysis, due diligence and risk management.
Erik was born in Oslo, Norway. He holds a Bachelor of Business from Charles Sturt University and a Master of Business (Applied Finance) from the University of Technology, Sydney.
