Australia – Gas Fired Generation Project

ARC Developments was recently retained to act as lead developer on project to provide development services as the lead developer on a 300MW gas fired power station for a private consortium. ARC has been engaged to manage all aspects of the process on behalf of the client.

Activities included:

• Undertaking the necessary market analysis and managing market consultants and modelling
• Negotiation of the commercial arrangements with regard to an off take agreement and gas pipeline usage
• Management of PriceWaterhouseCoopers in regard to tax issues
• Sourcing equipment and EPC pricing from a suitably credentialed Vendors, following a worldwide review of suitable suppliers
• Management of EPC drafting and negotiation into tax efficient onshore and offshore elements
• Management of the selection of Owner's Engineer and development of process to satisfy financiers’ issues with QA and Design and sourcing of O&M proposals
• Management of the land acquisition and approvals consultants
• Management of Owners Engineer
• Management of consultants conducting gas pipeline EPC and lands processes

Australia - Other

• ARC Developments was recently engaged to provide advisory services for a bid to acquire some energy assets in Queensland, Australia.
• ARC Developments was recently engaged to provide advice to an Australian coal company on an electricity market driven coal price and sculpted contract for coal supply to an Australian generator.
• ARC Developments was recently involved with the disposal of some North Queensland, Australia energy assets – 390km pipeline and merchant gas business (associated GSA, PPA and pipeline tariff)
