Highly-experienced, creative and with a proven track record of
success in identifying, developing and negotiating innovative
power sector contracts, Stuart brings proven technical, commercial
and managerial skills.
With a demonstrated capacity to both lead, and to contribute
to, interdisciplinary teams, he has extensive international experience
in a broad swathe of markets and environments, including UK, USA,
Europe, Middle East, India, South East Asia and Australasia.
Until last year, he was head of business origination for RWE
Innogy, responsible for scoping and investigating new markets,
negotiating joint ventures and other new routes to market which
gave maximum leverage to the company’s resources.
Previously, Stuart led business development for National Power’s
operations and engineering activities, managing a team of specialists
who identified and developed opportunities to market technical
services, operations and maintenance skills and other competencies
to third parties such as power companies, insurers and lenders.
Holding a BSc 2(1) in Physics (University Exhibitioner) and
a PhD in Physics/Metallurgy from the University of Nottingham,
Stuart also has a wealth of experience on new-build and acquisition
projects in Australasia, China, South East Asia, India, Pakistan,
the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Portugal, USA, the Balkans and
southern Africa.
